REPORT CARD TIME!

I went to parent-teacher conferences today for Mason and Taylor at Fairview Elementary School.

Mrs. Jenkins' is Mason's 4th grade teacher and she said that Mason is a wonderful student, a little quiet, and gets his work done! He got straight A's!!! He is such a smart kid. He loves math and is actually doing 6th grade math right now.

Mrs. Comish is Taylor's 2nd grade teacher and she said that Taylor is very appropriate in class, I am not really sure what she meant by that :) He is a very hard worker, a little fast, but he knows what he is doing so she lets him go as fast as he wants. He is an excellent reader and reads at a 4th grade level. Taylor also got straight A's!!!

I am so thankful that my boys love school and I hope that they appreciate how important it is to get a good education.

SCARIEST HAIR EVER!!

Aunt Shanda did Alyssa's hair so cute, she called it the "spiderweb". When I got home from class the boys told me that Lysa had something funny to show me. I walked in my room and she had these fake spiders in her hair. I just started laughing!

HALLOWEEN PARTY AT DANCE

Alyssa had a halloween party at dance today. They got to wear costumes and pass out trick or treat candy. These are her teachers, Ms. Krista and Ms. Lindsey.

WAY TO GO MACE!

I am so proud of Mason! He worked really hard to finish his Bear and earn his Square Knot. He received it at this Thursday's Pack Meeting.

They had to wear a cowboy gear so they could tell the story of Pecos Bill. He looks very handsome as a cowboy!

They were playing a white elephant game with their favorite books they brought from home. Alyssa wrapped her favorite Cinderella book up and was sad when she didn't get it back so we had to do some trading. (Where is Taylor?) He thinks he can hide from me :)

1. I lived and worked in a fish factory in Naknek, Alaska with my sister Ressha for a summer. I really hate fish and Salmon! That was quite the experience.

2. I was in a commercial on TV/Cable for a bridal store with members of my family. I was the bride and Chris was the groom (I can't remember why Lance wasn't the groom)and I ended up running off with Jeff instead!

3. I really really want to skydive but it is going to have to be tandem and still someone will need to push me out of the plane.

4. I can turn my eyelids inside out and I used to scare my sister by doing it! Watch out Kendra you know I can still do it!

5. I stress myself out way too much by trying to finish school, which is something I really want to finish for myself. Yes, I will try to make you all call me Dr. Cannon when I get done!

6. I love presents!! For Christmas, birthdays, surprises it pretty much doesn't matter when, I just love presents. I love to give them and to receive them.

7. I love having tons of family members, especially 5 sisters (sorry brothers). I am the 4th out of 9 siblings and we have way too much fun when we all get together. I feel like I am 10 years old when we all get together and just play around!

PUMPKIN CARVING

We went to Firth where they had all of these pumpkins that were carved displayed along a path so everyone could walk by and check them out. We had hot chocolate, won chocolate covered apples, cookies, and pumpkins. We had a lot of fun! Daddy had to do some tile work so we went with Uncle Cameron and his family, Shan and Sierra, and Doug and Katie and their family.

SCOUTS

I have been in the scouts for almost two years now. I was put in when Mason turned 8. Mason has just earned his Bear and Square Knot award, I am so proud of him. Taylor has just earned his Bobcat and is working on his Wolf badge. They are such good boys that love scouts.

We went bowling for a Wolf activity. Gage, Taylor, Mason and Riley.

Alyssa bowled all by herself! It took a while to get there but she did a good job and even got a spare. Way to go Lysa!!

Taylor was a fantastic bowler, he even beat his mom! Taylor has been in scouts since July and is working really hard to earn all of his badges.

I have been replaced in scouts now, and in a way I am kind of sad (but happy too). I will miss teaching the boys things, except for knots, which I taught them wrong! They have good leaders and I am sure will do a fantastic job!

ALYSSA AND HER FRIENDS

What a beautiful girl Alyssa is! If she could play with her friends and dance all day long she would!
This is one of Alyssa's favorite friends, Gracie Cook, they have known each other since they were 1! They are about one month apart in age.

Alyssa and Gracie wanted to bring me flowers. They think I am crazy sometimes because I dance around as much as they do! Hopefully they won't pick up my nice dance moves :)

CARVING PUMPKINS

We went to go to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins but a medium size one cost $10 so we decided to go to Wal-Mart to get the same size for $5 instead! This was our family home evening activity.

Lance decided to use his hunting knife on the pumpkins and surprisingly it worked very well! I used a little knife and he beat me carving it everytime!

WE LOVE GRANDMA!

This is a picture of us at the Fairview Fall Carnival. Lance was doing his hunting thing so his mom came down to help out! Alyssa stuck to grandma 24-hours a day. She had to sleep by her and be at her side at all times, it was so cute. Karen always has some craft for the kids to do and this time she brought modeling clay that never dried out and they are still playing with it today! Alyssa told me when Grandma Cannon left that she had water in her eyes! Karen helped me out so much so that I could go to school and not worry about the kids. What a good grandma she is! Thank you for all of your help Karen, we love you!
